Freezing
There's always a reason, and it's always a different one. Conditions change, goals change, and you always manage to come back with renewed energy. But one of those days, you just can't figure it out. You stand there, afraid, shaking of tiredness, cold to the bone. And in that moment, there's no sane reason to keep going. Yet you do. You bite your lip off, suffer severe tunnel vision, and you focus more than you ever did before.
You pull it off, as you always do.
This was Markus' moment, triggered while trying to find an acceptable belay stand during lead on Federweissfall in Anlauftal near Salzburg.
