The glaciated, 3674 meter high Grossvenediger, fourth highest summit completely set in Austria, is frequented and well described by others. We did it as a winter tour in the midst of blooming spring, and were lucky to get a perfect touring day. We had ascended to the Kürsinger hut on the day before. Even when taking the bus up through Obersulzbachtal, there's still 1100 hm to ascend to the hut - and a lot of it included carrying the skis on the backpack due to a lack of snow.
